Getting married is also a prerequisite for having children in inZOI, so if you want to grow your households, you’ll need to find a spouse first.

How to romance somebody in inZOI
Relationships in inZOI have three distinct categories: love, business, and friendship. The only one of these that matters for marriage is love — you can have a fully negative friendship and still get married!
In order to raise the love meter, you’ll need to use the ‘Romance’ submenu when talking to the Zoi you want to get into a relationship with. These interactions will influence that stat — although it can go down as well as up if your advances aren’t taken well.
Having a high Charm stat will help you to become closer to your chosen Zoi. If both of them are in your household, you can switch between them to make sure the affection is coming from both sides, but this isn’t necessary. You can also romance NPC Zois around the world map.
One tip if you’re looking for love: you can raise the desire of everybody in the city from the City Map. Using the menu at the top, select ‘Manage City’, and then move the ‘Romantic Relationships’ slider to the highest level.
How to propose marriage in inZOI
As long as your advances go well, your relationship should quickly move up from neutral to ‘Mutual Crush’ and eventually to ‘Sweetheart’. At this point, the option to propose marriage (as well as to sleep together) will appear. You can also continue to raise the relationship level to ‘True Love’, but this isn’t necessary.
When you use the ‘Propose marriage’ option, your Zois will become engaged. You’ll then get the option to get married right away or you can ‘Plan Wedding Together’, which will result in a ceremony.
Whichever of these you select, your Zoi will actually become married right away. The love relationship slider will change to indicate that you are now family and an NPC Zoi will join the household.
How to throw a wedding ceremony in inZOI
Throwing a ceremony isn’t necessary to get married in inZOI, but you absolutely can get friends and family together to celebrate the big day.
Choosing the plan wedding option when talking to your betrothed will open an event planning menu with options like duration, location, and guests.
When the event rolls around your Zois will automatically attend. Bear in mind they will wear their usual formal outfits, so, if you want specific wedding gear, be sure to set this in advance.
At the event, there’ll be a menu that appears in the top left with special actions that the Zois getting married and the guests can carry out. These are all optional, but the scripted actions will play out a traditional wedding, while the immediate actions give a bit more choice for variety and interest.
Technically, your Zois will already have been married when you set up the event, so you can’t go too far wrong! Just enjoy the ceremony and get ready for your married life together. And if you want to, this is where you can move on to having children!
